Join us for a transformative 4-day workshop (18+ hours of live instruction) designed for educators, students, performers, and professionals.
An introduction to Lessac Kinesensics for educators, students, performers, and professionals. Immerse yourself in learning and exploration that will enhance your bodyvoice for performance or public speaking, and guide you toward meaningful sensory connection and healthful awareness of expression. Topics introduced include Body and Vocal NRG’s, the benefits of tono-sensory sound in developing healthful daily living, and the holistic nature of the bodyvoice in expression.

Stephen Crandall

Stephen Crandall is a long-time educator and performing artist. He is currently the Dean of Liberal Arts, Education, & Creative Arts at Amarillo College in the Texas panhandle. He was previously a Professor of Theatre and Chair of the Department of Art, Theatre and Dance at West Texas A&M University where he taught voice & movement, acting, and stage combat for over 15 years. He has performed professionally with Sacramento Music Circus, Nevada Conservatory Theatre, Nevada Theatre Company, and National Pastime Theatre. He has directed numerous plays and musicals in university, community, and professional theatre. He is a member of Actors’ Equity Association, the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, the National Alliance of Acting Teachers, and the Voice and Speech Trainers Association. Stephen is a certified instructor for The Expressive Actor training method and a certification candidate with the Lessac Training and Research Institute. He has participated in training and intensives with LTRI since 2016. Deborah Kinghorn is a Master Teacher of Lessac Kinesensic BodyVoice Training and Professor Emerita of Acting and Directing at the University of New Hampshire. She has taught Kinesensic workshops and courses in Croatia, South Africa, Brazil, England, Puerto Rico and Finland. A Fulbright Scholar, she co-authored “Essential Lessac: Honoring the Familiar in Body, Mind, Spirit” with Arthur Lessac, a handbook which provides simple yet concrete instruction towards physical and vocal well-being. She volunteers as the Director of Education at the Lessac Training and Research Institute. She is a member of the Voice and Speech Trainers Association (VASTA) and on the Leadership Council of the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association (ISMETA). Her current focus is on training new facilitators for Kinesensics, both Certified Trainers and Master Teachers.

PAYMENT DEADLINES AND REFUNDS
To reserve your space, we require PAyment in full upon REGISTRATION.
We understand that in some cases plans must change. If you are no longer able to attend, please inform deb.kinghorn@lessacinstute.org as soon as possible. Refunds are issued per the schedule below. Please plan accordingly.
Refund Schedule
30-Day Cancellation (by June 11, 2025) All monies minus a $25 processing fee.
29-14 Day Cancellation (by June 25) Refund of 50%. Non-refunded amounts will be issued as a credit and can be used toward future events.
1-13 Day Cancellation (after June 25) No refund. A credit will be issued that can be put toward further events
Event cancelation policy BY LTRI
LTRI reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment, inclement weather or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If LTRI cancels an event, registrants will be offered a full refund. Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an event, registrants will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date.
